Field Notes

Description:

Yellow/Brown slug with dark lines on mantle and tail. These were about 5cm long. The pneumostome is visible on the third image.

Habitat:

On a wet rock near a pond in a shady area.

Me either (obviously) :) I'll keep researching the banana slugs. Thank you again for the suggestion!
Spots are definitely not required for banana slugs, and their yellowness is definitely variable. That aside, I'm not slug expert.
Hmm, the Banana Slug seems to be a deeper yellow and spotty but it's possible. These are more translucent and have stripes. Thank you for the suggestion. If you see an example of one that resembles these, please let me know!
