I found this in the rocks along the river. It was about the size of the palm of my hand!

Welcome..Melinda all surface spiders are Arthropods. Its already appeared on Project Noah..!!
Thank you, I believe the fishing spider is correct. We have wolf spiders in Virginia and they do not compare for size to this monster. Also, she was lurking in a rock crevice over the edge of the water.
Look like fishing spider.
