Description:
More than 100 species of dodder (Cuscuta) are widely distributed and called such names as strangleweed, devil’s-hair, pull down, hell-bind, love vine, and goldthread. The leafless, yellow-orange, threadlike stems twine around a number of field and garden host plants. By extending to nearby plants, it may draw them together and downward until a tangled yellowish orange patch is formed
Habitat:
Lake and moist marshy environment.
