Confidence is a skill to learn handling snakes!
I had a guy help me remove a death adder from my back doorstep. We only had a large glass jar to put it in. I asked him to hold a folded piece of wire mesh over the top while I got some wire to tie it around the mouth of the jar. I returned and he was holding the 5mm-hole mesh over the opening with the palm of his hand!
Believe or not, my brother kept a couple in a cage in his room at college one year. We decided he didn't invite in too many girls. He was ticked that students were so dumb he had to keep the cage locked.
