Field Notes

Description:

All iguanas have very short legs and five toes on each foot, finished in very sharp claws. This animal sometimes emits puffs. Jaws and teeth are stronger and sharper than those of the Green Iguana, because that evolution has endowed these to meet their nutritional needs.

Habitat:

medium forest and deciduous forest subperinifolia
