Field Notes

Description:

I'm placing this spotting under plants, but I'm not sure if that is the correct classification. At first I thought this was a coral type fungi growing along side mosses, but I couldn't find a green coral fungi and green is rare amongst fungi (no chlorophyll), so then I'm thinking it may be a type of Bryophyte, but really I don't know.

Habitat:

Eucalypt forest, rock surface, wet area, mosses

Latimeria, I think you may well be right, I'm thinking they may be a member of the Cladonia sp.
oh forgot to say the size, around about 5-8mm high
