That first photo is incredible, such an intense expression - I can see her story in those eyes.
It is tragic Arya. I can't imagine what would possess anyone to shoot an eagle - or any animal for that matter.
I can't believe people actually do that. There were 3 Eagles shot and left last year at the same river I spotted my Eagles.. Very sad, they never found out who did it.
I just checked my notes - Atsa Yatzi's injuries were actually caused because he was shot in Florida.
It's really nice to here that Karen. Happy to get to know about the wonderful life of Atsa Yatzi. So, she is a real survivor :)
This is sad and touching. Thanks for sharing Karen
Namitha, Atsa Yatzi is fully recovered but sadly will never fly again because her wing had to be amputated. She is now used as an educational bird, & visits schools & other organizations to inspire kids with a love of nature!
Hi Karen, the story is really sad. Hope Atsa Yatzi get better soon. Never heard of 'non releasable' Birds of Prey. But now I can see why... Beautiful shots, the first one is really amazing!
