In India we observe similar Pulicaria Genus of Asteraceae herbs flowers.
I think government does not do anything much. Monsoon will do lot clean work... Hope good rain will wipe much of oil spread..!!
Ashish - oh no! That is unfortunate news about the Mumbai coast. Is there efforts for a cleanup? India is developing more so than USA...Why not develop right and do solar and wind as primary energy sources...don't make the same mistakes the US has and rely on fossil fuels...oh yuck, big mistake for a developing country. Spend the extra bit of money now and possibly do this development more sustainably than the USA (and other "developed" countries who are now strangled by big oil/big fossil fuel infrastructure).
Heather...very bad new..another Oil spill at Mumbai coast... :(
I know the area where you spotted this -it's a very pretty area! I miss the north Georgia mountains - but not the humidity!
I think it's Daisy fleabane http://www.southeasternflora.com/view_flora.asp?plantid=657
