Species ID Suggestions

Lace cap Hydrangea

Hydrangea macrophylla

Comments (3)

Thanks for the ID! This is a page I created for my mom and her own pictures but she does not speak english so I answer for her :-)
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hydrangea_macrophylla also has some pictures. The lacecaps look different than the more easily recognized flower species because they have tiny flower centers surrounded by much larger flowers, usually of a slightly different color than the center flowers. Some species have fertile Male surrounding flowers, and some are sterile, requiring pollination of other species.
