Field Notes

Description:

We have a proliferation of these bees in our garden throughout the year. While I'm appreciative of the honey they produce, I'm nervous of their ousting of native species in the ecosystem.

Notes:

This bee is used for honey production and crop pollination throughout Australia. Feral nests of this bee are also found in most areas of Australia.
