Field Notes

Description:

Small rodent with warm brown coloration, black lined withe stripes on either side of the body with a black stripe down the middle of the back. Striping on face as well. Furry tail. These two are part of a family of chipmunks that live under the deck. They come out to drink water from the "pond" and come up on the deck sometimes to eat bird seed.

Habitat:

Suburban yard with small wooded area surrounding.
