Yellow-billed Cuckoo
Coccyzus americana
30.2055, -95.4526
Field Notes
Description:
About 11 inches long. Looks like a longer, thinner Northern Mockingbird without white wing and tail patches.
Habitat:
Garden next to hay pasture.
Notes:
It was dusk when it flew by so I didn't see it distinctly, but something told me it was not a mockingbird (which are much more common here). I'm glad I took a second look.
