Description:

Turk's Cap (Malvaviscus arboreus) is native to a region stretching from Mexico through Central America to Columbia. It has made itself at home in Florida. It blooms in fall into the Christmas season.

Habitat:

Grows any where the cardinals and humming birds love this plant.It just started blooming yesterday after 4 days of rain.

Notes:

Easy to grow, this roots in water,mallow family. Popular in the 1950s and 1960s it is seen in the yards of old Florida homes.
