I spotted this eagle while driving down the main street in Springfield that runs parallel to a river.

Same here in Washington. We have multiple species of salmon spawning and of course the Eagles are following. Apparently in January we can spot hundreds in one tree! Nothing like the Eagle gatherings in Squamish, BC though..
Arya, we have a few eagles around and more should be coming from up north with the onset of winter. They'll come down to the open rivers once lakes and northern rivers freeze up.
Seems you have an abundance of Eagles over there!
