Field Notes

Description:

Extremly long antennae and hind legs, body about 6cm long excluding legs. Dark in colour on body, softer colour on legs.

Habitat:

Live only in New Zealand there are 60 species of cave weta that only live int eh first 10 or so metres of caves and move out into the open at night to forage.

Notes:

Found In Waitomo caves New Zealand
