Field Notes

Description:

"It is a medium-sized wader with a strong yellow and black beak, large yellow eyes, and cryptic plumage. The bird is striking in flight, with black and white wing markings."

Habitat:

The stone curlew occurs throughout Europe, north Africa and southwestern Asia. It is a summer migrant in the more temperate European and Asian parts of its range, wintering in Africa.

Notes:

Spotted at the Pairi Daïza park.

I never seen this one... but its legs are matching with the one Alice...hinted..!!

Was this bird spotted in the wild, or in some kind of zoo? A part of the bird makes me think of a pheasant, but then it should have a shorter and curved beak I think.
May be juvenile Roadrunner bluish legs..!!
I love its look in second picture... Great expressions..!!
