Field Notes

Description:

Lime green stripe on the thorax, dark red in between thorax and abdomen, towards mid-end of the abdomen there's a big emerald green/turquoise stripe. As big as a the common green cicada.

Habitat:

Tropical weather.

Notes:

This is my first time spotting a cicada with lime green, dark red & turquoise stripes.

Thanks! It's a rare species I guess but too little info to say so. I can't find anything more about this insect.
I agree, it looks like the cicada was dressing up! Amazing, never seen anything like that before (seen cicadas, but not that colourful!) A great spotting and welcome to Project Noah. :)
Thanks. I was thinking that the cicada had a headband and a turquoise pants! A sporty cicada! It's my first time seeing one, and this one was about to die when I spotted it near a coffee shop.
