I'm pretty sure species of Symmerista are indistinguishable unless reared to adults.
3 black and 2 white lines on top of back signifies mapleworm
looks like two different species. its either orange-humped mapleworm or red-humped oakworm. so if you know what tree either is from...
This one looks similar to the orange one Orange-humped Mapleworm http://www.butterfliesandmoths.org/species/Symmerista-leucitys
I added 2 more pics - the front end of the orangey one and the rear end of the yellow one.
One view is of the head, the other is of the tail end. They are 2 different specimens- one was more orange than the other, but they both had the same pattern stripes and the same black and white leopard print on the tail.
Where were these spotted and are all of the photos of the same caterpiller?
