Description:

Sea turtle nesting sites are protected by FL law and the US Endangered Species Act. Each nest is marked off and signage (see 2nd picture) clearly indicates the area is not to be disturbed.

Habitat:

Coastal beaches.

Notes:

The Loggerhead turtle is endangered.

The FL gulf coast is a nesting site for multiple marine turtles. The loggerhead is the most common and assumed.
