Field Notes

Description:

Young males and females are said to be yellow in colour. It is said that they are usually in the area (Alberta) from mid-July and August. I've lived in the area for quite a few years now and this seems to be right.

Habitat:

Marshes, parks and gardens. I live in a marshy area.

Notes:

The Cherry-Faced Meadowhawk is hard to distinguish from the Ruby, Saffron-winged and White-faced meadowhawks.
