Description:

Shrub epiphyte, simple alternate leaves, flowers in spikes. Great source of betulinic acid, and substances that are being investigated for the production of a drug to control the anxiety besides having anti-malaria and anti carcinogenic. (UNA)

in a recent study of this plant, researches began its cultivation and analysis for the production of an antidepressant and an anti carcinogenic potential. This project is run by the National University. We achieved the reproduction of the plant in-vitro, in nurseries and directly in the natural environment.
