Description:

Essa espécie de coruja recebe esse nome por viver em buracos cavados no solo. Embora seja capaz de cavar seu próprio buraco, prefere os buracos abandonados de outros animais. / This species of owl has this name for living in holes dug in the ground. Although capable of digging its own hole, prefers other animals abandoned holes.

Habitat:

Possuem um habitat bem variado, mas preferem viver em regiões abertas. / Have a varied habitats, but prefer to live in open areas.
