Field Notes

Description:

My daughter insisted that she bring it in to show "Mommy" herself! She was holding it as if it was a giant green emerald!! Haha.. I did not see it where it was growing and got a bit too big, but my wife managed to transform it into a savory zucchini bread! Yum.! The three plants are prolific producers this year..

Thanks Craig and ArgyBee! I have some frozen pieces from this years harvest and will probably make something with them this weekend.. I will post a photo for you..
Great photo! Wish I hadn't read your notes and the comments though - it's past 1 am her in the UK and now I'm ravenous!
Thanks Noe and Pili!! Alice, I did stuff a few zucchinis last week, but Thayer must be a lot smaller than this one.. They are sweeter and more tender. We reserve the big ones for bread and "fried pancake style" patties. Thanks for the nice comment anyhow!
You can also take out the seeds and stuff the center for a meal too. Sounds like a lovely garden!
I love zucchinis... My father usually shows huge vegetables to the customers in his restaurant. I'm sure he would love this one :)
