Yellow flower with very compact flower heads.

Habitat:

Abundant along the Missouri River near Wolf Creek, Montana

Tansy is considered invasive here in Minnesota as well, but I've not seen a lot of it yet. It is certainly, however, around here. Glad to be of help.
Gordon, I agree. Looks like it's invasive to Montana. In some places it's really got a strong foothold. Thanks for the ID.
