Description:

lechúza de campanario de tamaño pequeño, posiblemente de unos 22 cms. de altura, de plumaje blanco y pardo.

Habitat:

Sierra ecuatoriana - Latacunga, capital de la provincia de Cotopaxi. (hbit en otros sectores de la región).

@ birthlady6000: Thank you for your comment, sorry i reply 8 months later...this owl, called belfry owl (its common name) and its scientific is tyto alba. It is possibly 22 cms. height and its plumage is white and brown. I found it in the Ecuadorian mountain range, in Latacunga, at Cotopaxi province; but this owl lives in some other sectors of the region. hope this information is useful for you.
This looks like a Burrowing Owl, Athene cunicularia. Strix alba is a Barn Owl. Sorry I do not speak Spanish, but would love to read your comment and description in English if someone could translate?Thanks! Cute pic!
