Field Notes

Description:

Red head and thorax, black elytra, last segment of abdomen extending past the elytra. Head narrows in front of the thorax, red femora and black tibiae and tarsus.

Habitat:

Near a river

Notes:

Podabrus is a very large genus, some species mimic fireflies. Found at Barbara A. Beiser Field Station.
