Description:

almost a dozen of these small insects are clustered at the tip of an Artemesia leaf that is about 1.5cm across

urban garden

I spotted these tiny bugs on the leaves of a few of my Artemesia plants on the side of my house.

Thanks Keith I think you nailed it too. This also helps ID the other insect I saw on this plant. Hahahaha! @monkey-mind, if they poisoned themselves on the artemesia, must have been a fun last meal (absinthe!)

interesting mystery bug/nymph/aphid-thingy... I thought more of shield aphids... but those wouldn´t go away simply, or they poisoned themselves?
so they just stopped by to say hi?
Yeah, me too. They didn't look like aphids but maybe. They definitely weren't eating the Artemesia, nothing eats that plant! I just checked now but there's no sign of anything on it anymore.
curious to find out what they are..
