Small (sitting on a piece of grass), black and white, brachypterous. Wide head.

Habitat:

Forest

Notes:

This is an adult Delphacid planthopper. It has reduced wings, making it look like a nymph. This species, like other Delphacid planthoppers, feeds on grass. Found at Barbara A. Beiser Field Station.
