Field Notes

Description:

The Tree-Stump Spider, probably belonging to the genus Poltys (of orb-weaver spiders) defending its nest on the dried banana leaf. Is it the first nest of this spider so far documented? :) Apparently not the first one around here: https://www.projectnoah.org/spottings/7121696

Habitat:

MG, Brazilian Atlantic Forest.

Notes:

Sorry for posting just one image. I have plenty of photos saved here whose species are interesting and so I would love to share them with you. But all of these photos are in unique files. I hope it's not a problem for now.
