Description:

A variety of colors..and the little red ones(milkweed bugs, onopeitus fasciatus)

Habitat:

In th blossom of the prickly pear cactus

Notes:

I'm more interested in the insects on this than it...they got on it a few weeks later & had an orgy..

They look like flower chafer beetles of some kind. Perhaps June beetles. You should consider joining the Beetles in Texas mission and adding this siting to the mission: http://www.projectnoah.org/missions/11377042
