Ok Ariana could be - I am using National Audubon Society Page 344 - Field Guide to Northern American Butterflies Knopf ??
I just added a new species suggestion, what do you think?
I would say possibly a female tiger swallowtail? In Montana I am not sure whether it would be the Western or the Eastern one. I am sure someone will be able to be more accurate!
Thank you both! These butterflies are so beautiful on their own (and they are good at holding still) that it is hard to not end up with a pretty picture. Do you by any chance know the type of swallowtail?
