Field Notes

Description:

This fish can grow to a length of about 25 cm. Males are black on the back with white spots, and have blue sides with bright yellow bands and spots. Females and juveniles are dark brown to black with white spots.

Habitat:

It can be found in the Indian and Pacific Oceans on coral reefs.
