Shiny black female with red hourglass on venter, next to three egg cases.

Habitat:

Man-made shelter in the desert

Notes:

Probably Latrodectus hesperus.

I know that spiders in the families Theridiidae (a very speciose family which includes the Black Widows) and Dictynidae build 3 dimensional webs.
