Amazing picture. I'm an Ant lover and I've just started a mission in order too document the variety of the species. Your spotting would be very welcome. Here's the link and happy spotting for the future http://www.projectnoah.org/missions/12553385
Thank you all indeed!! I haven't been able to login for quite a few days now.. Really glad to see all the appreciation!! Thanks again!!
Haha... That called mimic... Isn't it...?
Another twist on the "wolf in sheep's clothing" routine. Cool!
Great feat to shoot such things...!!
Spotting of the Day! "In the natural world, mimicry can be a powerful way to increase your chances of survival. For the ant-mimicking jumping spider though, it's the most effective way to grab dinner! This mimic uses it's front legs to simulate antennae as it impersonates the very same ants it dines on." http://twitter.com/projectnoah/status/104375764635492352 http://www.facebook.com/projectnoah/posts/186754491391208
They are quite cute actually.. :-) The fun part is that they mimick ants and feed on them.. Real charm of evolution!
