Description:

We spotted these 2 young lions on an outcrop of rock in the Serengeti. I would think they are maybe 2 years old as the male is just starting to grow his mane.

Habitat:

Serengeti, Tanzania

Thanks! I thought it very considerate of her to pose there for me!
Queen's cave .. nice spotting
Thanks Carol! This shot was the inspiration for one of my watercolors you may have seen on facebook!
Go, go, go! You will absolutely love it! If you are into adventure type holidays you should also climb Mt Kilimanjaro while you are there. We did it & it is probably the most awesome experience of my life!
Tanzania has always been in my "future natural trips" :-)
The whole trip to Tanzania was a wonderful experience - so much wildlife & relatively few tourists! I definitely recommend it!
Wow it was very close then, I guess it should be an incredible experience
I guess we were about 50 feet from the rock but I did use my zoom to get in close. Lions are good subjects as they don't move much during the day so it's pretty easy to get close for photos (from the safety of a vehicle obviously!)
That's great, fantastic pics..it seems you were very close to them or was zoomed?
