Field Notes

Description:

Tall (6 ft or so) sturdy stems with red bell-shaped flowers with white centers.

Habitat:

garden cultivar; coastal temperate rainforest, in the open but not a whole lot of hot sun; acidic soil.

Notes:

These were originally planted about 25 years ago and have since volunteered every year. They tend to be biennials.
