Description:

Found this slime mould which has just about moved from the plasmodium phase to the Sporangia-producing phase

Habitat:

Eucalypt forest, fallen branch in grass

Notes:

Myxomycota (slime moulds) are classified in the kingdom of Protoctista. Slime moulds shared the characteristics of amoeba (plasmodium phase) and fungi (sporangium phase)
