Field Notes

Description:

The female has much larger blue spots on her back edge of her tail.

Habitat:

The male and the female were out today at the same time. The female preferred the Lantana yellow and orange flowers and the male preferred the Plumbago blue flowers.

Notes:

3rd picture also has a big bee on the other Lantana flower. The two species were tolerating each other.

Thanks Mick and Emma. I got lucky that day that both the female and the male were feeding at the same time. The male was very curious in my light blue shirt. I must have looked like a huge butterfly spot or flower since he was attracted to blue it seemed.
