@ Jeremy; Thank you so much, I've been wondering about this for a while!
I'm fairly confident that this is a cultivated astrantia.
The first thing that popped into my head was some kind of passion flower. Just a thought.
I know, I saw the white ones too.... they're completely unique
I think I spotted same sp. but in white: http://www.projectnoah.org/spottings/6995318 no idea what it could be...
