Description:

Dense evergreen tree. Leaves glossy and holly-like, with conspicuous teeth. Acorns are approximately 1.5cm long and borne in spiny cups.

Notes:

Second photo shows the acorns, third photo shows the bark on the trunk.

This could be the European relative. :) I know this tree in particular is massive - it's growing on a slope, so the trunk is hidden by the foliage.
