Description:

A very bright patterned Checkered Beetle in red yellow and black and densely covered in white hair (especially visible in the 2nd picture). The antennae have an elongate club. This one is relatively large at 1 cm in length. Family Cleridae.

Habitat:

Came to an ultraviolet light set up along the highway on a cliff between San Cristobal and Tuxtla Gutierrez, km 18.5, 1164 meters.
