Field Notes

Description:

Presumably a type of bolete, due to the porous underside of the cap.

Species ID Suggestions

Comments (1)

This looks like an old/mature cep. In youth the cap would be dark tan, reddish brown or dark brown. Pine needles in picture also support ID. Fairly early for Georgia unless you've had cool wet weather recently.
