Description:

Through spring and summer we only see a couple of Currawongs around. During autumn and winter though, they form large flocks that wander around our valley, menacing the other birds, and each other, for food.

Yep, that's them, Ashish. I had forgotten about the wood swallows being related. They really are a lovely group of birds.
Yes Lori got idea.... http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Artamidae
Ashish, just a slight correction, currawongs are not crows (Corvids) - although they look very much like them. They are Cracticids, and thus related to butcherbirds and magpies.
Jodie... nice work..!! Crows are most important for Human's fate today..!! You made a Crow a very cute bird with spotting..!!
Thank you both :) Heather, thanks, I've put a couple of spottings into that mission. Cheers :)
Amazing photos. I just checked out your other spottings and you clearly have good quality photos. LOVE the birds and colors. Have you considered the 2011 Wildlife Contest "Mission" Especially for the flying shots. Beautiful bird.
Great shots. The Pied is the one we don't have down here.
