Description:

This bird was flying around on it's own, not too far from the Superb Fairy Wrens

Habitat:

light woodland area within a eucalyptus forest

Notes:

The Crescent Honeyeater (Phylidonyris pyrrhopterus) is a passerine bird of the honeyeater family Meliphagidae native to eastern Australia and Tasmania. A member of the genus Phylidonyris, it is most closely related to the common New Holland Honeyeater (P. novaehollandiae) http://www.projectnoah.org/spottings/6364577

I did get the slime mould, which I was pleased about
At least you got birds, all I got was bugs.
Well you make it easy on me when you post species found in Tasmania. Again, just saw my first crescent of the season this last week.
