Description:
The Black Tiger Snake has very dark brown head and body, sometimes with lighter cross bands. The belly is light to dark grey.
Habitat:
Dry rocky areas, marshland and coastal dune grassland. Lives in drier habitats than common tiger snakes although restricted to areas experiencing coastal rainfall.
