Black Tiger Snake

Emma, tigers are very fast, and yes I certainly had to "put a move on". That said, it didn't chase me very far, and I pretty much just dodged it until it decided to continue on towards the grass on the other side of the road. While I agree with Christiane, that's it's usually best to stay still, it clearly wanted me to back off, so I did.

Fabulous photos... these can be quite aggressive when they have a nearby brood to protect.

Never run or move, when a snake comes towards you.. If you stand still it can not see you.. and if a snake is " chasing" you you are in her/his way to the next safe place! Hardest part is to actually stand still!! :)

I got chased by one for the first time last Fall. It was on the road and I tried to shoo it off, but it charged me instead. I'm not scared of snakes, so I just gave it sufficient room and finally got it off the road.
