Field Notes

Description:

Amanitas start in an "egg" casing that creates the spots and the cup shaped base. Most are toxic as with the gemmata(although reported not as tosic as it's similar relatives), so it is best to know your ID exactly, which can be difficult as most vary widely in coloration depending on the growing conditions.
