Field Notes

Description:

I've seen this raccoon at the same jetties on the beach in the panhandle of Florida 3 separate times in the past several years. He is missing his right hand, but I think he uses the handicap to his advantage. Everyone that walks by him and has food ends up sharing some with him!

Thanks everyone! I think he had the posing thing down.. ha... habituated is putting it lightly!
He's such a beauty! Lovely captures!
fantastic series
like cartoons! :)
Lovely series of pictures and good story. When we were young, we children raised a coon for 9 months and then he naturally returned to the wild.
We have always had a family of Raccoon in a large Cedar tree on our property, but this past year they all seem to have disappeared along with all of the others in our neighborhood. We miss the little bandits!
