Field Notes

Description:

Bright green insect with yellow stripe under tan vertically striped eyes. A bee flew right up to it and landed on the flower before the nymph moved and scared it away.

Habitat:

On Perez's Sea Lavender eating white flowers in the backyard and watching a honey bee.

I'm thinking more immature because a nymph would be tiny. My guess is this guy's not far from adulthood. I see a lot of bright green creatures here, when I'm working, there are a lot of nymphs around, especially this time of year! Good luck with the species, sorry I can't be more help.

A cricket nymph/immature, I think. They're usually that bright green. That first shot is just out of this world, especially with the bee as well! Amazing!
