Description:

Black Crowned Night Herons make their home in fresh and salt water marshes and wetlands throughout a large part of the world. Their diet consists of fish, crustaceans, aquatic insects, frogs, small mammals, and small birds.

Habitat:

Marshes and wetlands.

Notes:

This was taken at Brookgreen Gardens, in Litchfield, SC.
