Field Notes

Description:

Bright colored predatory Soldier beetle, red and black, some 15mm in length. The elytra are black and soft, while the pronotum, face, bases of legs and bases of antennae are brick-red.

Habitat:

Here, observed in Natural Reserve of Jura mountain range, at 900m approx; on edges of mixed forest.
